Cass McCombs Announces Children’s Music Album With Mr. Greg, Shares New Song: Listen
Cass McCombs has announced a new children’s music album that he made with San Francisco preschool teacher Grey Gardner (aka Mr. Greg). The album, titled Mr. Greg & Cass McCombs Sing and Play New Folk Songs for Children, is out August 18 via Smithsonian Folkways. Watch the video for the lead single, “Wave a Flag for Harvey Milk,” below.
According to a press release, McCombs and Gardner have been spending time together since they were teenagers in the Bay Area. The new album features songs that Gardner wrote for his students, inspired by what the children would discuss and learn in the classroom.
Mr. Greg & Cass McCombs Sing and Play New Folk Songs for Children follows Cass McCombs’ August 2022 solo studio album, Heartmind.
