‘V/H/S/99’ is Shudder’s Most Watched Film In the Streaming Service’s History

Shudder dropped V/H/S/99 over the weekend and people tuned in to watch big time. The latest film in the V/H/S/ franchise saw a record amount of viewers watch the film. While, V/H/S/94 did bring Shudder a lot of viewers it didn’t beat the amount of folks that tuned in for this entry.

Shudder already greenlit the next entry in the franchise titled, V/H/S/85 as well.

“By every metric V/H/S/99 has been a wild success, with subscribers watching in record numbers and debating with each other on social media about which segment of the anthology was their favorite.” Craig Engler of Shudder said. “We are thrilled that the revival of the series continues to be embraced by our audience, and already looking forward to next year’s V/H/S/85.”

The synopsis for V/H/S/99 goes like this:

“V/H/S/99 harkens back to the final punk rock analog days of VHS, while taking one giant leap forward into the hellish new millennium. In V/H/S/99, a thirsty teenager’s home video leads to a series of horrifying revelations.“
